"Look at the problems in your life. Ask yourself, 'What kind of thoughts am I having that create this?'"- Louise Hay

I work with individuals who are ready to see big changes in their lives and I am so honored to be a part of this journey! I have a strength-based approach to therapy and can help you discover the parts of your life that are going right, not just the areas that need improvement.

I will work with you to find the positive ways that you are coping including your passions, talents, interests, support system and strengths in order to help you feel more empowered even while dealing with the struggles you may be currently experiencing. The good news is...you don't have to have all the answers!

I use short-term and long-term modalities of treatment, depending on your needs. I have a background in attachment, CBT, family systems, addiction and trauma therapies. I use mindfulness based and CBT techniques like helping to identify thought patterns and beliefs that may holding you back from living your best and most authentic life.

Additionally I incorporate EMDR and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) treatments to help reprocess past traumas and phobias when needed. EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is used to help resolve symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. When trauma occurs it seems to get locked in the nervous system with the original images, thoughts, feelings, and reactions. Eye-movements in EMDR can help to unlock this information in order to reprocess and resolve this experience. EMDR also changes the original negative belief about self in response to the trauma, to a more empowering and positive self image.
